Everything will be affected
Health
Wind turbines generate high levels of infrasound - sounds at a frequency lower than humans can usually hear. Large turbines generate much more infrasound than small ones, at wavelengths that allow it to travel long distances.
Low frequency noise is known to have significant adverse effects on human health. A 2021 study by researchers at Research Center for Environmental Changes in Taiwan found that:
Exposure to Low Frequency Noise from wind turbines results in headaches, difficulty concentrating, irritability, fatigue, dizziness, tinnitus, aural pain sleep disturbances, and annoyance. Clinically, exposure to Low Frequency Noise from wind turbines may cause increased risk of epilepsy, cardiovascular effects, and coronary artery disease. It was also found that exposure to noise (including Low Frequency Noise) may have an impact on heart rate variability.

Wildlife
Wind turbines don’t just kill birds, especially raptors, directly - they drive away all animal life. A study in Finland found that 63% of birds, 72% of bats and 67% of mammals are displaced by turbines. Vulnerable songbirds disappear; breeding and nesting sites are damaged. Habitats are disrupted by installation, destroyed at the turbine sites themselves, and while the turbines are operational stand no chance of recovering.
Traffic
The population of Llanarmon DC and Tregeiriog is about 350 - the population of Llanrhaeadr some 1,200. The road between them is narrow, winding and in poor condition, but can cope with current traffic levels. What Galileo is proposing is a major industrial construction and assemply project, requiring huge quantities of materials and equipment to be transported to the 21 sites from the Llanrhaeadr end. Throughout the construction phase traffic levels will balloon.
The Galileo proposals contain no mention of the words ‘road’ or ‘traffic’, and no reference at all to the considerable access issues the proposed site presents.
